At first: I am very happy to find OkMap sw. It is the only one, wich know EOV/HD72.
I have a lot of scanned map with eov grid.
The calibration in OkMap was correct, (checked with created wp, and copied it on other ozi calibrated map).
When I try to save it .map ozi format, say: "the projection hotine oblique mercator is not supported"....:(
Is there any method (or setting at UTM, other mercator?) to solve the problem?
Unfortunatly the theory of map projection is'nt my field. :)
Thank You for answer (and OkMap sw too)! PS: sorry my poor english.... |

I should want to study the problem. Can you calibrate one of these maps in OziExplorer? Which projection will you use? Can you send me an example of these maps in Ozi format (jpg + map)? Thanks. Sorry my poor English too . |

The e-mail was rejected..(I have not enough post to send) Copy it here:
Thx for the promt answer! Here is actual jpg:

( scroll down, and push the gray button: "lassú letöltés" (means: "slow download" - it is free) ) :) Inside of map frame located the EOV(HD72) grid number (km). It made in EOV/HD72 datum with hotine oblique mercator projection. It is true: I am a little bit confused.. :(
One of the refer maps of area (ozi):
http://data.hu/get/5428850/ready_other_map_of_area.rar
It is a military 25k map (wgs84)

Please send me also .map Oziexplorer calibration file relative to the map 07.JPG. I've converted ozf2 into png image and image size is 2449 x 2426. Calibration points in .map file (x-y in pixel) are outside map bounds. Are you sure that you haven't resized or cropped image? |

It is the starting problem: how can I make the 07.map file :)
When I calibrated the 07.jpg in OkMap sw, it works perfect. (cheked it) But: I cant save it to oziexplorer. |

I've converted ozf2 map to jpg and resized image at original size (you can see the original size in .map file at last line). Seems works ok with OkMap.
About 07.JPG: OziExplorer seems doesn't support Oblique Mercator projection. The way is try to calibrate a map with another projection but this may introduce some errors. |

thx!
Summary: I cant calibrate hotine projected scanned map for oziexplorer .map, in one step at OkMap sw.
I can to do:
1 calibrate the map to .okm file and create wp (2 corner) 2 open the jpg again as new raster, and calibrate it using 2 wp. Need to find a projection (wgs84 world mercator?) close the orig hotine. 3 save it to .map oziexplorer file.
Which sw did You use to convert .ozf > jpg ?

I've used Terraperfecta Demapper. You can download it for free at http://www.terraperfecta.com/demapper.php. This software convert into PNG format. Then I've used MSPaint to convert into JPG. |

To the forum, apparently yes. Cheers.
