Posted - 02/07/2013 : 21:30:29 I am trying to create a Garmin custom map, and I have used the maps server utility to save a map and then used the "map tiling/garmin custom maps" utility to save it as a kmz file and then opened in Google Earth. Is there a way to do the same with a scanned map? I scanned a map and saved it as a JPG, but I can't figure out open it from the load map feature, as it only allows you to open .okm, .kml, etc... files, but not jpg files. Is there I way I can open my scanned map, or convert it to a usable file type if necessary?

Posted - 03/07/2013 : 09:14:41 You should calibrate your jpg map with "File - New raster map" function. This function create a .okm map file that you can open with "Utilities - Map tiling" function. You can see a video that explain you how to do this (see http://okmap.org/en_videos.asp).
