I’ve had a few thoughts regarding the “Map Bounds” function in OKMap. It works very well, and is essential as ones collection of digital maps grows. However, with larger collections, the current version of Map Bounds gets a bit cluttered, and it is no longer easy to see the boundaries of a map or identify a map covering a specific region of interest.
I know that when you hover the mouse over a map boundary, you get a pop-up window with the map name and location in it. I wonder if you could add functionality such that when you hover the mouse over a map boundary, either 1) the boundary of that specific map becomes bolder (thicker line, and / or different line colour) or 2) the interior area of the specific map becomes filled in with a transparent color (maybe pale pink?). This would be in addition to the pop-up window with the map name and location in it.

Sorry its taken a while to get back on this, been a busy week. I've seen the new implementation (thanks!) and its an improvement.
I still think it would be better to have this work simply on the "mouse over", rather than relying on clicking the boundary. Then it would be easy to quickly scan by eye a dense collection of maps, without the need for clicking on each one. Clicking gets annoying after a while.
I'd also make the "moused over" map boundary BOLD (which you did) AND a different colour. Yellow seems a clear choice, since the map info text box is in yellow.
I also note that the map info box that appears when you "mouse over" a map boundary disappears after a few seconds. I would have it remain on screen until the mouse is rolled off the map boundary.
