Since some clever ancient developer decided that gpx format does not record track color (how clever!), it seems that most formats also don't save ths information.
OkMap cleverly does manage track colors, but it's not clear in what file format (OkMap-native?) I should save tracks so that color is conserved for future use (sure not the "default" gpx format).
I am particularly interested in CompeGps "trk" format, since I have tons of tracks saved in that format with carefully assigned colors, which I would need to import (or convert to an intermediate format that could conserve colors & be imported into OkMap).
CompeGPS "wpt" files seem supported for saving and loading, but not the "trk" format for tracks.
Thank you for any suggestion!

Posted - 20/01/2025 : 10:52:04 The native GPX format does not handle colors as it should but there is an extension (https://www.topografix.com/gpx/gpx_style/0/2/) that OkMap uses to save fonts, colors and other styles. In addition, OkMap has its own extension to manage other information on waypoints, tracks and routes and finally manages the extensions on the track points defined by Garmin: https://www8.garmin.com/xmlschemas/TrackPointExtensionv1.xsd. If you are an expert in XSD transformation sheets you can use them to make any conversions from CompeGPS to OkMap. PS If you are Italian use the appropriate forum. Thanks. |
