OkMap Desktop - Returns and Refunds

Introduction

This document describes the return and refund policies for the OkMap Desktop software, distributed through the okmap.org website.
These conditions comply with Italian law (Legislative Decree 206/2005 – Consumer Code) and European Union legislation on distance contracts and the supply of digital content (EU Directive 2011/83).

Product type

OkMap Desktop is software for Windows operating systems, provided as a digital download.
Before purchasing, a trial version is available, allowing you to freely test the program's features and verify its compatibility with your hardware, operating system, and software environment.

Right of withdrawal

Pursuant to Article 59, letter o) of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of digital content via non-material media (download), when performance has begun with the consumer's explicit consent.
However, OkMap voluntarily recognizes the possibility of a refund in the event that:

  • the purchased software is incompatible with the user's system, despite testing with the trial version, and
  • this incompatibility cannot be resolved through the technical support provided.

Refund Request Procedure

To request a refund, the user must send a notification within 14 days of the purchase date using the contact form on the website.
The message must include:

  • the purchaser's name and surname,
  • date of purchase,
  • license key received,
  • a detailed description of the technical issue encountered,
  • any attachments (screenshots or error messages) documenting the incompatibility.

Each request will be evaluated individually.
If approved, the amount will be refunded within 5–10 business days, using the same payment method used for the purchase.

Refund Exclusions

Refund requests will not be accepted in the following cases:

  • improper use of the software or unauthorized modifications;
  • failure to verify compatibility using the trial version;
  • requests submitted after 14 days of purchase;
  • requests based on installation or configuration errors not attributable to the software.

OkMap reserves the right to modify this return and refund policy at any time.
