OkMap tutorial on creating and configuring custom web map services using the XYZ (TMS) and WMS protocols.
In this video you will see how to add new web services, configure their URLs, coordinates and attributions, select WMS layers, set their overlay order and verify the result using OkMap's testing tools.

Procedure:
- Open the web map server list
- Add a new custom XYZ (TMS) service
- Select the XYZ type
- Enter the service URL
- Set the default coordinates for the test map
- Enter the attribution
- Set a name filter to make it easier to find the new service
- Test the display of the added web service
- Add a new custom WMS service
- Select the WMS type
- Enter the service URL
- Select one or more available layers
- Display a single layer
- Enter a number to specify the layer overlay order
- Change the filter to make it easier to find the new service
- Test the display of the added web service
- View the XML capabilities information
- Confirm the newly added web services
- Load the newly added WMS web map
Tips:
- Use an XYZ (TMS) service when the web source provides maps as tiles
- Use a WMS service when you want to choose from the map layers provided by the server
- Always verify the service URL before testing its display
- Set default coordinates that make it easy to verify that the service works correctly
- Use the attributions required by the web service
- Set a name filter to quickly find custom services in the list
- For WMS services, select only the required layers and set their overlay order correctly
- View the WMS service XML capabilities to verify the information published by the server
Notes:
- OkMap allows you to add custom web map services
- Services can be configured using the XYZ (TMS), WMS, WMTS and PMTiles types
- Some services (for example WMS) can provide one or more individually selectable layers
- The layer overlay order determines how they are displayed relative to each other
- The display test allows you to verify the service before using it as a web map
- XML capabilities provide the information published by the WMS service
- After confirmation, the new web services are added to the list and can be used to load web maps
Common mistakes:
- Enter an incorrect or incomplete URL for the web service
- Select a type different from the one actually used by the service
- Set test coordinates that do not allow the service to be properly verified
- Forget to select the required WMS layers
