Tutorial on how to manage large numbers of waypoints with OkMap using clusters, filters, and search tools.

In this video, you will learn how to explore waypoint clusters, quickly locate points of interest using filters, search for waypoints on open maps, and efficiently manage large collections of GPX data.

• Waypoint Management

Procedure:

• Display waypoint clusters on the map
• Open the context menu to display the waypoints belonging to a cluster
• Use the middle mouse button to quickly display the waypoints within the cluster
• Expand the cluster using the Zoom-In function
• Open the waypoint list
• Filter waypoints by the desired field
• Search for waypoints using a search string
• Use the waypoint list context menu
• Locate the selected waypoint on the open maps
• Remove the waypoint marker when it is no longer needed

Tips:

• Use clusters to manage large numbers of waypoints more efficiently
• Apply filters to quickly locate points of interest
• Use meaningful search criteria to speed up operations
• Always verify that the located waypoint is the one you intended to find
• Remove the waypoint marker once the search is complete
• Keep the waypoint list organized to simplify management tasks

Notes:

• Clusters automatically group waypoints that are very close to each other
• The Zoom-In function progressively separates the waypoints belonging to a cluster
• The waypoint list allows searching and filtering across all loaded waypoints
• The located waypoint is automatically centered and marked on the map

Common Mistakes:

• Confusing waypoints that belong to the same cluster
• Forgetting to remove the waypoint marker after completing the search
• Using overly generic filters and obtaining too many results
• Interpreting a cluster as a single waypoint rather than a group of points
