Tutorial on how to download waypoints from OpenStreetMap using OkMap.

In this video, you will learn how to download points of interest (POIs) from OpenStreetMap using predefined presets or custom filters, limiting the search to the map area or along a GPS track.

Procedure:

• Open the Download Waypoints from OpenStreetMap function
• Select downloading waypoints along a GPS track
• Choose the track on which to perform the search
• Load an OpenStreetMap category preset
• Download waypoints belonging to the selected categories
• Download waypoints within the current map area
• Filter data using OpenStreetMap key/value pairs
• Select a specific waypoint category
• Change the current map
• Repeat the download using a different preset

Tips:

• Use presets to quickly select the most common waypoint categories
• Use a GPS track as a reference to download only waypoints located near the route
• Take advantage of key/value filters to perform more specific searches
• Review downloaded waypoints before saving or using them during your outdoor activities
• Periodically update the data to obtain the most recent information available from OpenStreetMap
